Field technicians are responsible for carrying out archaeological excavation, pre-construction field surveys and conducting mitigation monitoring in support of upcoming projects. Duties may also include site testing and evaluation, and data recovery. (On-call hourly position in California.)

Paleontological technicians perform pre-construction field surveys and mitigation monitoring during project development. Job duties may also include fossil salvages, matrix washing and picking, and laboratory work (preparation, identification, and cataloging of fossil specimens). (On-call hourly position in California.)
